What is BizPaL Manitoba?
BizPaL Manitoba is an online service that provides information on permits, licences and other government requirements for starting, operating and growing a business in participating jurisdictions in Manitoba. BizPaL Manitoba is a collaborative effort of the Government of Manitoba, the Government of Canada and participating local governments. The Manitoba BizPaL Office, with Entrepreneurship Manitoba, is responsible for the BizPaL Program in Manitoba. The BizPaL Manitoba website is hosted by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada on behalf of the Government of Manitoba.
While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy, currency and reliability of the information provided by the BizPaL Manitoba website, it should not be considered, and is not a substitute for, legal advice regarding the requirements for establishing, operating or expanding a business in Manitoba. Portions of the database are updated regularly; however, at any time some details may not yet reflect recent changes. Making sure that all required permits and licences are obtained remains the responsibility of the business person. The information presented is based on a typical business scenario and may not be complete for an entrepreneur trying to establish a business or carry out business activities that are out of the ordinary.
Many, but not all, local governments in Manitoba participate in BizPaL Manitoba. For local governments that are not participating, you will need to contact your local government office to determine which permits, licences and other local government requirements you may need to satisfy in order to establish, operate or grow a business within the non-participating jurisdiction.
The information maintained by the Government of Canada and Government of Manitoba in the database are offered in both English and French. Information provided by other participating jurisdictions will only be offered in the language in which it was provided.
